Now that it will be tougher to get new gas hook-ups from Con Edison, builders will be looking to power homes with alternative energy sources.  At this week's meeting of the Scarsdale Board of Trustees, an item was on the agenda to ease the rules for installing solar panels on homes.  The change to village code would allow solar panels to be installed on any elevation without review by the Board of Architectural Review.  However, the item was tabled at the 2-13 meeting and will be placed on a future agenda.
