Promposals Round Two

With the Scarsdale Prom coming up on Thursday June 4, more seniors are "promposing" to their potential dates than ever. Check out Round Two of Scarsdale's Promposals. The community is invited to the Pre-Prom Red Carpet reception at Scarsdale High School on Thursday June 4, at 4:00pm. The seniors will be out in their tuxedos and gowns before the bus takes them to the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle for the big night.

Bridget and Brian

Brian and Bridget dated back in the 5th grade and have been friends ever since. Their first “date” was going to see How To Eat Fried Worms, so Brian referenced that day in his poster.

Becky and James

The chorus concert was on Becky’s birthday, and after everyone sang to her, James barged in with a sign that read, “You were born to go to prom with me.”

Allie and Matt

Allie was just about to take a nap when she was “kidnapped” from her home and taken around town on a scavenger hunt. Her friends were waiting at different locations, armed with a poem written by her date, Matt, which expressed the significance of that location in their relationship.

Char and Lawrence

Lawrence sent Char on a food scavenger hunt: he ordered all of her beloved dishes from her favorite restaurants. When she went to pick up each order, she was greeted with another letter to spell “Prom” in photos of the couple.

Deepthi and Koji

Koji surprised Deepthi with a “prom-pizza,” and delivered the question with flowers and tons of cheese!

Hugh and Sara

Sara is a diehard Fleetwood Mac fan who idolizes Stevie Nicks. So, it would make sense that Hugh would bring Stevie and a good Fleetwood Mac pun along for his promposal.

Jacob and Katie

Jacob designed an intricate scavenger hunt for Katie and sent her around the neighborhood with some clues to guide her. Thankfully, she didn’t get discouraged and eventually found Jacob with flowers at the end.

Naima and Andre

Andre picked not only a wonderfully picturesque location for his promposal to Naima, but also a quote from a great ABBA song. What’s better?

Christine and Jon

Jon surprised Christine with a colossal poster portrayal of an IPod to ask her to prom. Good thing she didn’t click shuffle!

Katie Kearns Promposal

Katie Kearns had a lovely surprise when the children of her class at Heathcote Elementary School, came filing into the classroom one by one with roses to give to her and letters spelling out the words Prom. Anton Zock finally came in with more flowers and his sign asking her to Prom, much to the childrens’ excitement and screams.

Rebbecca Kearns Promposal

Rebecca Kearns had a surprise waiting for her at the Louck games track meet at White Plains. As she crossed the finishing line of her 400m hurdles race, her date Giancarlo Cugini stepped onto the track with flowers, balloons and a sign asking her to Prom, much to the delight of the spectators who all clapped and cheered.
