SAT Intensive Group Classes – Fall 2021
** Intensive group classes starting soon for November 6th & December 4th exams **
Benefits of Test Prep
Despite recent changes in admissions testing requirements, the SAT remains a significant factor in top-tier college and university admissions. With an expanding applicant pool the value of a strong SAT score cannot be overstated. The SAT continues to be an important metric, indicating readiness for college-level academic work.
The challenge facing most students is that scoring well is no easy feat. The curve tends to be steep, with little margin for error; mistakes caused by ignorance, rushing, and panicking are costly. More than ever before, test prep is essential.
Our Mission – Mastery
Our goal is student mastery of SAT content, structure, and testing techniques, including time management. With mastery comes confidence and calm, so critical to success.
Our Instructors
SAT Math – Jennifer Liang. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience to teaching and tutoring high school-level math. She has prepped students for both the SAT 2 Math and AP Calculus (AB and BC) exams, as well as for other STEM SAT 2 (subject) tests, including Chemistry and Physics. Jennifer also coaches high-performing students for math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS and AMC 10/12. As a high school student in China she won first prize in the Chinese national math competition. Jennifer earned her B.A. in Mathematics from Beijing University and her Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Chicago. Prior to dedicating herself to STEM education, she worked in the field of finance for 10 years.
SAT Reading & Writing – Jocelyn Palmer. Jocelyn has been providing writing and editing services to a range of clients for several years. She founded Cornerstone Prep to position students for success, whether in the classroom, the exam room, or in the school application process. Earlier in her career Jocelyn was a senior equity analyst on Wall Street, and regularly published equity research for buy-side investors. Jocelyn received a B.A. in English Literature from Smith College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
