Hockey Teams Shine in Thanksgiving Weekend Tournaments

Scarsdale Youth Hockey’s teams had a successful Thanksgiving weekend. The Maroon and White 8U travel teams participated in tournaments over the Thanksgiving weekend. On Friday November 26th, the Scarsdale Raiders Maroon team completed the Thanksgiving Gobbler Jamboree in Brewster NY with a 5-0-1 record against area teams from Westchester, and southern Connecticut. On Saturday November 27th both the Maroon and White team participated in the Mamaroneck Youth Hockey Association's "Turkey Shootout". Raiders Maroon placed 2nd in the Stuffing division, and the Raiders White team placed 5th in the Gravy division. Grayson Fix won the hockey shootout for the Stuffing division, while Evan Waldman placed 2nd in the shootout for the gravy division.
Also over Thanksgiving weekend, the Scarsdale Raiders 10U Maroon Hockey team travelled to Brooklyn for the CANAM tournaments at Aviator Field. Scarsdale finished the tournament with a winning record of 1-2-1 to take home the silver medal in the tournament, after a spectacular game in the tournament finals. The team was resilient and able to respond quickly in a very competitive tournament.
